Meagan Odom Head Coach
|
Coach Meagan is a former Georgia state-qualifying swimmer who comes from a passionate, multigenerational swimming family. She began her coaching career in San Antonio with the Alamo Area Aquatics Association (AAAA), specializing in 10 & Under stroke mechanics while earning a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from UTSA. She later served as the Head Age Group Coach for the Valdosta Aquatics Swim Team in Georgia, developing multiple state qualifiers. Beyond high-level competition, she was the founding head coach of the Sonoma Ranch summer league, where she introduced new families to the sport with a focus on water safety and lifelong habits. Over her career, she has mentored numerous athletes who advanced to elite NCAA programs and service academies, as well as a U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier. An ASCA Level 3 and SwimAmerica certified coach, Meagan also holds a Master’s degree in Special Education. She relocated to the Nashville area in 2024 and joined Excel Aquatics in Gallatin in August 2025. She is thrilled to be on deck with the Sumner County Swim League, fulfilling her long-held dream of coaching middle and high school swimmers. Coach Meagan remains a lifelong mentor to her athletes, many of whom have returned to the sport as coaches themselves. |

Aidan O’Neil Assistant coach  |
Aidan received her Bachelors Degree in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin Stout in 2022. She is one of the art teachers for Portland High School. She moved from Minnesota to the Nashville area two years ago. In her free time she enjoys working out, golf, travel, and any art related activity. This will be Aidan’s second year coaching for the Sumner County Swim League and third year coaching middle and high school swim overall. She was a competitive swimmer for six years. Her main events were the 100 yard breaststroke and the 200 yard IM. From her experience as a swimmer and coach she knows that hard work pays off for those who show up every day to give it their all in the pool. Her main goal as a coach is to pass on her passion for the sport to all swimmers. She is excited to start another great swim season! |

Marios Gerasimopoulos Junior Assistant Coach
|
Marios is currently a senior at Merrol Hyde Magnet School. He is returning as junior assistant coach with the Sumner County Swim League this season. Marios has been swimming with Excel Aquatics since age 12 and is part of their high performance group. He is also a member of Excel's National team and an assistant coach for the 8 and under swimmers. "As a coach, my goal is to teach the kids everything I know about swimming, while still keeping an environment where they enjoy the sport. I can’t wait to start this upcoming swim season! Jacob Keen Junior Assistant Coach
|
Jacob is a junior, attending Sumner County Middle College High School and is pursuing an appointment to the Air Force Academy. He has been swimming for eight years, six of which have been with Excel Aquatics. His best stroke is backstroke but he also enjoys swimming the Individual Medley (IM). Jacob is a member of the Excel Aquatics National Team, holding three Excel Aquatics team records and one Liberty Creek High School record. This past year he placed 10th in the 100 backstroke and 13th in the 200 IM at the Tennessee High School State Championships. When he is not swimming, he enjoys being involved in his church, reading, watching movies and spending time with family and friends. |
